Failure

The failure to launch
failure to win
failure to achieve anything
failure to be something
there is failure everywhere
in life
in sports
in love
you cant avoid it
it will found you
sooner or later
failure will arrive

Losing

Some put their head down
Others gazed at the sky
Amazed
They stare at teach other
Did we really lose?
Aren't we invincible?
Others in tears

Others in relief
They watch them celebrate
Thinking about their mistakes
Their mishaps
Remembering this is only one game
they put their head high

B-A-L-B-O-A

"Believe it or not, you're not black" said Dexter. Luigi laughed and continued chewing his straw. Dexter always question Luigi's blackness.
Amazed, Luigi scrambled for a comeback, but couldn't find one. "What, what you call me?" Luigi could never find a comeback when Dexter questioned his blackness.
Luigi says, "I'm black, I don't need to prove it." Luigi wasn't really black, he was Hispanic. He turned around still scrambling for a comeback, he need to prove he was black.
Backing down from the challenge, Luigi swept his polo shirt from him lap to his shoulder. To prove he was black, he starting making a beat by hitting his desk.That didn't work.
"Other people think I'm black" Luigi said finally. I didn't. I turned around hoping he didn't ask my opinion."Hey, Kesley." I frozed.
"Am I Black?" asked Luigi.

Lord of the Flies

I like the book because it shows how the human race is savage and uncivilized and how different surroundings change our thinking. I also like it because the timing is perfect. There is a war in the world, and on the little island. It also shows how adults influence kids without knowing it. The boys were influence by the War in my opinion.

Simon

        Unlike the other boys, Simon seems to be neutral. Most of the boys either follow Ralph or Jack, he is in between. He seems to like Piggy and is the most sensitive one toward the little'uns. He seems to be unable to say what he thinks clearly. He always mumble when he speak, as if afraid to speak.


      I think that Simon know what Jack is going to say because maybe he has known him for a long time. It also could be because he knows that all Jack talks about is hunting and killing pigs.

     Simon has evolved into a very discreet person. In the beginning, he was always around Jack, as he gets more adapt to the island he begins to wonder around. He also is starting to talk more, at the beginning he barely talked; now he starts to talk at the meetings.

     Simon's role into the story is being the logical one. Jack thinks like a savage, Ralph thinks like royalty but Simon is more logical. He is more down to earth. Unlike Jack, he remembers that they are rules. Like when he threw sand into the little'uns eyes, he felt bad for doing that. Overall, I think that Simon is used in the story to relate to the reader.
